When

Cheap, easy Gamerscore. And here are some of the easiest Achievements that you may have missed from the Xbox One and Xbox Series X S games which have released or dropped onto Game. By this point in your day-long quest for Gamerscore, you’ll probably be yearning for a little sunshine and fresh air. Suppress that desire – bury it deep – and play some. Elea is the cheapest quick completion included in the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale. The adventure game can be picked up for $1.29/£0.95/€1.29 and takes between three and four hours to complete.

As of 26 April 2019, “smrnov” (aka Stephen Rowe, Canada) had taken 'Stallion83's crown as Xbox player with the highest Xbox Live Gamerscore. The American had amassed 2,162,420 points – over 100,000 more than the USA’s “Stallion83”, as verified by TrueAchievements.com.

One of the best parts of owning an Xbox is having Gamerscore intertwined within every game and everyone’s profile. Many players are not competitive about their score, and I’m sure a lot don’t even care what their score is — but I am and I do.

Recently, I had made it a personal goal to be at the top of the Gamerscore monthly leaderboard between Xbox friends, and to reach the coveted 100,000 points. I know the real achievement is to hit 1 million, but 100k is okay with me.

To reach 100k, I looked into lists of easy achievements and cheap video games, but for the most part these lists were outdated and of no help. Due to this, once I hit my goal I decided I would make my own list of my own experiences to share with anyone and everyone who wants to add thousands of points to their name.

The lists that I have come across usually stand behind the infamous “Avatar: The Burning Earth” wherein you can gain the full 1000 points within roughly ten minutes of gameplay (maybe even less). Which, sure, is great, but that’s only one game, and it’s pretty old and can be somewhat hard to come by physically if you want it dirt-cheap. I own this game due to being a huge Avatar fan, but purposefully played on a different account so that I didn’t earn these achievements, and to see that I could make it to 100k without the help of this game.

FREE (XBOX STORE)

To start off this list, we’ll go with the free games currently on the Xbox Store at the time of this article’s writing, with the easiest or most fun achievements.

SMITE

There’s no way I could do this list without mentioning SMITE. Recently, SMITE’s Gold Edition was in Games with Gold, where you were given many free Gods to play as in game (and a few skins — but I’ll look at the base free game as it is.

SMITE gives some pretty solid achievements throughout the game (which if you didn’t know, is a “third-person multiplayer online battle arena”) usually centered around specific Gods. There are roughly 100 current Gods you can play as, each with two achievements based on their abilities in-game. Some of these are hard to come by and extremely rare, but others can be done almost every game you play. On top of that, levelling up and getting multi-kills or killstreaks can also add to your Gamerscore, and despite some toxic players, this game has a lively and interesting player base still in 2018 and is definitely the most fun out of the free to play games on this list.

NBA 2K17: The Prelude

This game is one of the main games that showed up on the lists I looked up. It’s super easy to get the full 1000 points, but it is excruciatingly painful to sit through the bad cutscenes you can’t skip and boring gameplay. I only made it to 800 points, but maybe you like basketball games? Side note, the 2K18 version has no achievements, so don’t waste your time.

Fallout Shelter

Yep, this is being included as well. If you haven’t played this on your phone yet, or maybe didn’t hear of the release of Fallout Shelter on Xbox, now you have. This little mobile game-turned-console can be a solid time killer with easy achievements for the most part. I don’t even have 200 points in this game, but then I’m honestly not too big a fan of the Fallout series, and had played this game to death already when it was first released on mobile. If you haven’t tried it out yet, there’s at least a few hundred extra points to add to your Gamerscore here.

Hawken

Do you like Titanfall? Or maybe you used to love Mech Assault or even Chromehounds? Then this game might be for you. Hawken is a mech shooter that can get quite fun if you’re able to connect with other players. If I recall, you’re able to also play against bots and still earn achievements regardless, but it’s definitely more fun against actual players. I played this game for a few hours a day for a week and earned 450 points, just goofing around and having fun. The game does not look amazing, and almost feels like a mobile game, but it was still enjoyable for what it is.

Warframe

There’s a lot I could say about Warframe — like it being better than both Destiny games — but I won’t dive into it. This game is a large download but gives you a great experience and achievements that coincide with it. I haven’t played this game for a few years so I don’t have much to say, but I know it has only improved, and from what I’ve been told and what I’ve heard, this is still one of the best free to play games around.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

I debated putting this game on this list due to… well… what this game is. (You have a slider to adjust breast physics.) Despite what it is, I still loved playing this game and it was a gateway game into my newfound love of fighting games like Injustice 2. I was able to earn 580 points playing this game… but if you’re living at home, you’ll probably not want to play this one in your living room.

Special Mentions

Prominence Poker is a simple poker game that can dish out around 200 Gamerscore if you play long enough.

Apparently you get achievements just for logging in to Roblox and that’ll add up to 1000 quickly, though I haven’t given that a try yet. (Don’t ever plan to, either).

Fortnite will eventually have their horde mode free to play, which will dish out 1000 points. It’s currently almost full price still and the Battle Royale mode doesn’t give out achievements sadly.

Telltale games usually have their first episode for free in order to get you hooked, so playing Tales of the Borderland and such would add a hundred to two hundred points to your account if you haven’t tried them out yet. I believe the first episode of Life is Strange is also free, though it’s not a Telltale game.

If you search the Demos on the Xbox Store, you can find a demo of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist which will award you roughly 200 points if you play through it all. Though, if you don’t like the show or the card game than this will be a drag.

FREE (GAMES WITH GOLD)

This list will still include free games, but you must have downloaded them during the timeframe during which they were free. I don’t want to go too far back in time with this list since you may not have picked these up so I’ll do my best to keep it to this year. Though I do want to mention that late 2017 had a lot of heavy hitters for easy Gamerscore.

Xbox One

Forza Horizon 2

Starting as a more recent game from August, Horizon 2 is a large racing game that takes you to gorgeous parts of the world. You can drive off road almost as easily as on road and go almost anywhere you want in the given hub. Personally, I’m not a huge racing fan, but I did play through this game’s long campaign mode – well, I beat every race, I’m not max rank or anything — and earned almost 400 points doing so.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Games With Easy Gamerscore

I’m going to be honest with you guys, I do not like MGS games. I tried playing this game, and it is enjoyable, but it’s not for me. If you happened to download it back in May, then definitely give this one a try. Achievements are mostly earned through campaign completion and certain in game feats, and you get lunch and dinner breaks during the long cutscenes in the game at least.

Superhot

Superhot is a fun little game. To my knowledge it was originally a virtual reality game, and moved onto consoles later on. It is a lot of fun to play through this game’s story and then try out the challenge modes, and it was available for free during March 2018. If you haven’t tried it out yet and didn’t download it, it’s still pretty cheap to buy online.

Zombi

I first played this game on the Wii U when it launched and it was a lot of fun with the gamepad and a second player, but we’re talking about the Xbox version, of course. This game was free in the beginning of 2018 and is a lot of fun for a casual zombie game. I got scared, I had fun, and I played mostly during daylight hours in real life while I knocked out 670 out of the 1000 points this game has to offer.

Xbox 360

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues

I don’t think I can say much about LEGO games; you either love them or hate them. These games all offer easy achievements for beating levels and beating them without dying, and collecting a bunch of blocks. Good fun for the younger members of your family, and if you play cooperatively with them, you can rack up some Gamerscore while babysitting your little sister/brother or niece/nephew. (Or your own kids!)

Brave: The Video Game

Brave: The Video Game is exactly what it sounds like, at least to my knowledge. Brave is one of the only kid movies I’ve never watched, so I can’t compare the game to it, but the game is surprisingly fun, and is a kick while playing couch co-op. (Player 2 is a floating ghost thing!) You get to level up your bow and arrows, armour, and abilities while fighting different creatures, chasing bears, and even playing as them. It’s a mess of childish fun with easy to earn achievements alongside it. This game was free with Gold in March of 2018.

Army of Two

When Army of Two first came out, this game was a breath of fresh air. A co-op based cover shooter with stupid-crazy missions and the ability to buy cool new armour, gear, and shiny weapons. The game has not aged well at all though. Despite this, if you have a friend who’ll play the full campaign with you, you’ll be able to earn a lot of Gamerscore to add to both of your names, and will have an interesting bonding experience alongside it.

GAMEPASS (LOW MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION)

Gamepass is an interesting gimmick that Xbox pulls off, offering 100 games to play for a low monthly rate of 10-12 dollars, depending where you live. Of course, most of these 100 games aren’t great or worth playing, but there are definitely a decent number of solid games in this list, and they add new releases here and there to spice things up. This library does change monthly, so at the time you’re reading this, some of these may no longer exist in Gamepass, but others will take their place.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

This is a giant group of games, but I thought I’d start this list off strong. In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you can play through the campaigns of Halo: CE / Halo: CE Anniversary, Halo 2 / Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 4, and Halo 3: ODST to earn a massive amount of Gamerscore, and then add in some multiplayer action, some challenges, and some forge to add in even more. This game offers something along the lines of 6000 points, and it’s pretty simple to get at least 2000. I believe I’m a little over 3k and I rarely play.

Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Wars

Though this may not be a fan favourite, Halo 5 offers easy achievements for simply playing through the main campaign. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of this entry, but it’s still easy points if you haven’t played it before. Though I must warn you: both this entry and Halo: MCC are about 100gb to download.

Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2 also offer simple achievements for playing through their campaigns, but these entries are not first person shooters like the others, and offer their own challenges in gameplay.

All Gears of War Entries

Every entry to the Gears of War franchise so far are currently available to play in Game Pass. I have only been able to beat Gears 2 and 4 because the running animation gives me a massive headache. But if you’re a normal person, just playing through each campaign should give you around 200-300 points, and they’re pretty fun. I’m looking forward to that top down version that was announced at E3, personally — I won’t get a headache from that!

The Rest

“The Rest” isn’t a game title, but to shorten this list a little I’ll clump together the rest of the current Game Pass titles that offer easy achievements. If you don’t own any of these yet, please try out Rocket League, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure (for kids but still easy points), State of Decay 2, Fallout 4, Human Fall Flat, and theHunter: Call of the Wild. I could go on and on discussing why each game is great, and what achievements they all have to offer, but I’m sure anyone reading this has heard of most of these. Call of the Wild is an extremely slow paced hunting simulator that I would never think to play, but it’s amazingly pretty, slow, relaxing, and rewarding.

What to Avoid

This quick list shows some games that aren’t worth the time to play. Sure, they’re fun and all, but they offer little to no achievements compared to the time you’ll put in to them. These include: The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, Tom Clancy’s: The Division, PAYDAY 2: CRIMEWAVE EDITION, and Sea of Thieves. I’ve tried them all out, and they’re all good games on their own, but for this list, they’re not worth it. I also did not include 360 titles for Game Pass as most of them are arcade games or ones that I do not have knowledge of enough to include.

THE 100%

The games in this list are ones that I have earned all achievements for, and are all actually quite cheap to buy nowadays. I would recommend you keep an eye out for them if you don’t have them already. I will also list how difficult they were to 100%, and list them from easiest to hardest.

ABZU – Very Easy

This underwater puzzle game is at first terrifying. If you have any fear of open water (or water in general) this will get your blood pumping… until you figure out there’s no threat. This short, beautiful game will get an easy 1000 Gamerscore within roughly 3 hours if you play through and use a guide for all of the collectibles. This game is cheap and I believe was either on Game Pass or Games with Gold at some point.

Gone Home: Console Edition – Very Easy

Starting this game off, it appears to be a terrifying horror… until, again, it’s not. Playing through this game and then speedrunning it will give you the full thousand points. This was in Games with Gold a long time ago, so if you happened to download it and never played, you’ve been missing out!

Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious – Very Easy

This game was free on both the 360 and One, and offers 1000 points on each console if you play through the stories. Even if you’re not a fan of racing, this entry offers some fun either way, and a barrage of simple achievements.

Titanfall 2 – Easy

If you’re ever on Reddit and subscribed to any gaming subreddits, you’ll see posts about how underrated this game is every month. Easily one of my favourite games of all time, Titanfall 2 is also set with easy achievements to go alongside its stellar campaign and multiplayer. I cannot praise this game enough, and it’s always on sale so go pick it up!

All Telltale Games – Easy

This list will be impossible if we never see the end to the final season of The Walking Dead, but for the games that were already released, it’s easy. Just beat the storyline and you’ll get them all! (Some include finding things like The Wolf Among Us, but a guide makes them easy as well.)

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Medium

The game everyone has owned over three times definitely makes this list. Having this on both the 360 and the One can double the amount of points you get, and with all the DLC this game offers 1550 Gamerscore. The Dawn Guard DLC is worth it alone, and I don’t need to sell this game to you — I’m sure you own it on a few devices already. The fourth entry, Oblivion, can also fall along these lines. It’s fun to get that to 100% as well.

Prototype 2 – Medium

The Prototype series are games a lot of people seemed to have slept on and not even tried. The 360 version of Prototype 2 can be found physically in stores that will almost pay you to take them, and the Xbox One bundle with both entries is almost always half-off on the Xbox Store. Beating this game and finding all the (easy to find) collectibles will earn you the full 1000 points, probably without needing a guide! This is one of my favourite games of all time, and it’s disappointing that there will probably never be a third… but the same idea sort of lives on in Saints Row IV, and its sort of fun, I guess.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallow: Part 2 – Medium

I was going to leave this game out, but with all the hype surrounding the potential new Harry Potter game, I decided to throw it back in. Most of these movie-based games aren’t all that great, but as a pretty big Harry Potter fan at the time it released, I thought I’d try it out. It’s not all that bad, and completing the game with all the achievements didn’t take that much time or effort either. I would recommend it to anyone with a hole in their chest where Harry Potter used to be.

Modern Warfare 2 – Hard

Do I need to explain this to anyone? We’ve all played this game, and it just recently became backwards compatible with the Xbox One. The only reason the achievements are hard is because of the need to beat the campaign on the hardest difficulty, which is beyond annoying.

Halo 3 – Very Hard

Nowadays, earning achievements in multiplayer games like Halo 3 are a lot harder than the years they came out. With a dying population of roughly 200 players on peak hours, earning certain achievements in Halo 3’s multiplayer playlists would be infuriating, let alone the Vidmasters. Also, the other 360 Halo games are in the same boat as Halo 3, but will still dish out some solid points if you can come across them.

EVERYTHING ELSE

From games that aren’t cheap, to games that I couldn’t fit anywhere else on this list, I will go through other fun entries with easy achievements. Though this list will not feature paragraphs about each game, it’s noteworthy that each game is incredibly fun and offers hours of unique gameplay with a bunch of achievements. (I’ll place asterisks beside the entries that offers the most achievements for least amount of time played.)

Ios Games With Gamerscore

I was planning on make this entire article much larger than it currently is, but I trimmed it down to avoid making it too overwhelming. I hope this is helpful to anyone looking for build up their Gamerscore, and that it helps you hit 100k! This list is of course based off of my own experience, and I’m sure there are games I have missed that offer easy achievements as well, so please tweet me or comment on this article if you have anything you’d like to add!
