Oct 29, 2015 Lightroom 6.2.1: Very Very slow on Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.1 Hello, since latest updates of lightroom and mac os, lightroom has become impossible to work with. Adobe Lightroom is available as part of Adobe Creative Cloud for as little as $9.99/month bundled with Photoshop CC as part of the photography package. Lightroom 6 is also available for purchase as a stand-alone app (with the cloud functionality removed) if you prefer.

I have a nice 2008 MacPro that will not upgrade beyond El Capitan.
So, I can't use the current Lightroom on it.
I've asked at the Adobe site via screen help and they just say, basically, too bad about that.
Does anyone know a way I can use Lightroom on my old MacPro ?
I've not used Lightroom before, but I'm setting up to copy all my old film negs and slides to digital and it seems like Lightroom is the best software choice for doing that.
